Key areas of applied work:

  • Sustainable Food Supply Systems
  • Aquatic Resource System Sustainable Use
  • Other perishable goods Supply Chain Management, e.g. plants, pharmaceuticals as examples of products depending on economical and controlled environments and monitoring

The research focus is on interdisciplinary applied science in the area of perishable products and supply chain management for enhanced safety, quality and transparency (traceability) of products for the consumers. The priority is on the integration of food science, engineering, computer science, and natural sciences with strong emphasis on project management.

Project management is the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives.  ASCS has in the past successfully mangaged project management tasks, from the project start phase with setup up the project goals to compling and finalization of projects.
